A few Shoes I have my eye on.

First: These and I would say they are my favorite. I feel they would be good for summer wear. The city leaves your feet icky and black if you wear regular sandals.

Belle by Sigerson Morrison Round Toe Cutout Oxfords

PRICE: $220.00

Second: I would say these because they are boring. They resemble dance shoes to much. That is probably why they are called jazz shoes. But something similar would be nice.

Luxury Rebel "Birken" Oxford Jazz Shoes

PRICE: $185.00

Third: We have some Classic crazy Sneeks from Marc by Marc Jacobs. I have some shoes that have a similar style by Marc Jacobs already. It never hurts to have a closet full of amazing shoes.

MARC BY MARC JACOBS High Top Lace-Up Sneakers

PRICE: $195.00

Fourth: We have The Wellie! It rains quite a bit here and I am getting really frustrated with ruining my shoes. The nice part about these is not only am I buying a rain boot but also a Snow boot. What I love is how tall they are. And mighty attractive I might add.

Original Gloss Tall Boot

$115.00

Spring Fever

Wooo! I love spring! Especially after that long frigid New York winter. I slipped on enough ice this last winter. I deserve ditching life for the beach! I want to learn to be a better swimmer. Also, the flowers just kill me. These little puff ball guys are the best. Could some one please identify them for me? I had not seen a flower like this till last year. It must only grow on this side of the U.S. I have not seen them in New Mexico. Although, we do have these crazy indian paintbrush flowers that I doubt I will see here. I feel like the ones that grew by my house in Edgewood were more orange. With longer leaves... Maybe it was a different variation.

In any case. I'm sure there will be more lovely warm weather posts to come!

Also, my Mommy and little brother Ross are coming for a visit. June 9-14th. Wooo wooo!

Psychtrance Party

The morning began with the usual two hours of alarm clocks buzzing in my ear. And Eric squirming with the thought of actually getting out of bed. However, Today was different. He seemed to get up a little easier than usual. The anticipation of the party ahead of us helped the usual routine. It seemed not even the most prepared are ready. I had to head home after work to grab a few left items. We grabbed a quick bite of Falafel at Pita Joes NYC. Hopped on the L train one stop into the BK (Burger King Lounge).Stopped by a coffee shop to get delicious espresso and biscotti. Finally we reached Public Assembly! It was about 6pm in the afternoon. The destination was full of uncompleted art projects and random tasks. Eric and I helped construct a large tent made from pipes and stretchy material. (pictures are to come) We assembled large lanterns and so much more. They all glowed under black light. The night was full of odd and great music. I was experiencing more than I ever had before in the music scene.

Tiny pink stars full of fun, and droplets of yummy goodness. Just when I thought people were being loony I had begun to join them. There were belly dancers, the women spinning themselves in silk, and don't forget the fire poi. Everyone's faces became a blurr, the music started to sound horrible, and I was simply frightened. Then out of no where it was like someone had waved a magic wand over me. Everything had become clear. Not only was it clear it was quite amazing. I saw everyone's shiny happy face, the music sounded like the most beautiful thing in my ear, and I was a peace. Not only peace but utter happiness. This continued for about two hours straight. In the two hours I found a small little island in the floor. The entire floor was cement however, in the corner of the bar I found a small square of wood. The Bass in the music shook the small piece of wood with such power. Imagine your body being vibrated from the inside out. This is what happen when you stood on the tiny platform. Utter bliss... I have no other words.

After the rooms started to clear and we all begun to wind down it was about 5am. I decided it was time to leave. By the time we had said all of our goodbyes it took almost an hour. And there we were out the door. Since we were still a bit wound up we decided to take the scenic route. Up the williamsburg bridge. Down to the LES. We found a scene of a lovely office/Library thrown completely into the street as garbage. Eric and I decided we needed to bring some of the clever looking hard back books home. From there we headed threw China Town. We walked by some Chinese women doing an exercise involving a fan. The most exciting part was when they smacked the fan open and closed. What a sight to see at 6am. Then we impatiently waited outside a Starbucks for our morning espresso. At this point I just needed to get home. So we headed off to the World trade center. Covered in soot from head to toe thanks to the fire poi. We hopped on the train dragging our books and bags. Finally we were home. Time to Recover.
